Rossella Featured in Design Week

We’re pleased to see Rossella Muswell Hill featured in Design Week, exploring how the restaurant’s interior brings together three generations of the Meola family’s hospitality heritage.

Rather than recreating a particular period, the design layers influences from across the family’s history, combining references to the 1960s, 70s and 80s with the needs of a contemporary neighbourhood restaurant. Stained oak, polished chrome, marble, leather and illuminated onyx sit alongside more personal details, including family photographs and an original clock from the home of owner Luca Meola’s grandfather.

The feature also looks at the role of Nonna’s Lounge and the bespoke Halo Light Panels, designed by Faber to help the restaurant transition from a bright daytime setting into a warmer, more intimate evening environment.

Faber Creative Director Tony Matters explains the thinking behind the project:

“The idea was to layer references from different generations, so the family’s history could be felt throughout the space.”

The result is a restaurant that feels rooted in Rossella’s past while establishing a distinct identity for its next chapter in Muswell Hill.
