We’re delighted to announce that Rossella, our Italian restaurant interior design project in Muswell Hill, London, has been named a finalist in the Project of the Year – Restaurant Interiors category at the Mix Awards North 2026.
Designed by Faber and Company, the transformation of this much-loved neighbourhood restaurant brings together three generations of family heritage with a contemporary approach to hospitality interior design.
A New Chapter for Rossella
The redesign of Rossella began with an understanding of the family behind the restaurant. Having welcomed generations of diners, Rossella needed an interior that reflected its history while creating a distinctive identity for the future.
Rather than relying on familiar references to traditional Italian restaurant design, we developed a scheme that draws on the family's character, memories and ambitions.
The result is a layered interior that balances warmth and familiarity with moments of understated glamour. Considered materials, bespoke lighting and carefully planned spaces establish a restaurant that feels equally suited to everyday dining and special occasions.
Central to the design are the bespoke Halo Light Panels, combining polished stainless steel with opal acrylic and dim-to-warm lighting. These sculptural features help the restaurant transition from a bright, welcoming daytime setting to a more intimate evening atmosphere.
The redesigned restaurant also introduces Nonna’s Lounge, a dedicated private dining space and an improved bar experience, creating greater flexibility across the restaurant’s 101 covers.
