Bespoke Pastry Counter at Caffe Concerto, The Village
The Challenge
As part of the wider redesign of Caffé Concerto at The Village, Westfield, the focal point of the scheme centred on a custom-made circular pastry counter — conceived as a statement piece at the heart of the restaurant. The design demanded a level of precision and craftsmanship far beyond what a standard counter manufacturer could achieve. Faber were tasked with realising this vision, translating a bold concept into an intricately detailed showpiece.
The Solution
Set on a circular base with a refined hexagonal geometry, the counter features concave glass panels designed to minimise glare and give diners a clear, beautifully lit view of the display. The desserts are presented at eye level, while hinged glass covers allow staff to replenish with ease. Every element — from the brass detailing to the subtle curves of the framework — echoes the wider interior language of the space.
Above, a custom-made circular chandelier crowns the display, supported by a central brass column that also discreetly houses the power supply for the mid-floor unit. The result is a true centrepiece — elegant, functional, and perfectly in keeping with the timeless, dramatic aesthetic of Caffé Concerto.
