Sketchbook: Folde

Welcome to Sketchbook, where we explore the latest restaurant design and culinary experiences designed by the Faber studio.

Folde is a neighbourhood restaurant, located in Clapham, South London. With a plant-based menu serving from breakfast through to evening, the concept focuses on the warmth and comfort of a local independent restaurant, serving food cooked from fresh produce yet without focusing on being ‘vegetarian’ - delicious food, that just happens to be plant-based.

The design balances simplicity with warmth, an open kitchen and central bar provide focal points in what is a compact footprint. Warm timbers and a palette of natural tones of greens combine with light terracotta tiles to provide an interior that is deliberately restrained and understated.
