Faber selected to develop Indian Brewery restaurant concept

Purveyor of delicious Indian street food and Birmingham-brewed craft beer, Indian Brewery, has announced it will be opening a second venue in the midlands – and has enlisted Faber to develop the restaurant concept, which it aims to roll out across multiple sites.

“Indian Brewery already has a well-loved brand and a clear message,” says Tony Matters, Creative Director at Faber. “We’re excited to build on this success; to help define the Indian Brewery experience and how this will develop through expansion, while continuing to showcase what is at the heart of its appeal: good food and great beer.”

What began as a tiny microbrewery in Great Barr is now a thriving street-food café and brewery supplying the likes of J D Wetherspoon’s, Harvey Nichols and Connolly’s wine merchants with its small-batch, artisan beer.

The popular city-centre taproom and café was established in 2014 by young Birmingham entrepreneur, Jaspal Purewal. After graduating from the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy at Solihull College, Purewal came up with a business idea: to create a range of Indian-style beers and ales, brewed locally in small batches and designed to complement Indian food.

The new restaurant is due to open later this year in Solihull and promises to offer more of the same wholesome Indian food and Birmingham-brewed beers currently served up at its flagship in Snow Hill. The expansion will help cater for Indian Brewery’s growing fan base, says Purewal: “Our Solihull location will enable us to widen our reach even further and allow even more people to enjoy our amazing product.”
