Faber wins ‘Restaurant & Bar Interiors Project of the Year’

We're excited to announce Faber has won Restaurant & Bar Interiors Project of the Year at the 2018 Mixology North Awards.

Mixology North is the most prestigious, highly anticipated design industry award ceremony in the north, and celebrates the work of some of the UK’s most talented interior designers.

Faber was awarded Restaurant & Bar Interiors Project of the Year for the design it created for Kilder, a craft beer bar located under a railway bridge in Digbeth; an area of Birmingham known for its creativity and burgeoning independent scene.

Lead designer on the project, Holly Trehearn, worked with Kilder’s owners, Tom Maher and Scott O’Byrne, to create the concept. “They were keen to avoid the obvious industrial-style aesthetic which is perhaps the first thing that comes to mind when working with a space like this,” explains Holly. “Instead, we created a cleaner look and feel; one that still made reference to its industrial location but in a more refined way.”

Faber’s Creative Director and co-founder, Tony Matters said: “We’re delighted to be recognised by such a prestigious awards as Mixology and end the year on a high. It's testament to the hard work of our talented team and to me further demonstrates our position as one the the UK's leading F&B design agencies. Our main studio is based in Digbeth, Birmingham, so Kilder is close to our hearts and we’re proud to be part of the evolution of such a vibrant part of the city.

Faber was also selected as a finalist for Emerging Interiors Practice of the Year at the World Interior News Awards, which took place in London last month.
