Behind the Scenes at Faber: Meet Georgina

At Faber, we’re pretty good at sharing the amazing work we do through our portfolio pages. But we thought it was high time we allowed you a peek at our inner workings to take a look at the team responsible for making the magic happen…Here we find out who everyone is and what they do at Faber. And, perhaps more importantly, we’ve thrown in ten quickfire questions to discover what really makes them tick!

Interior Designer Georgina was a work placement student at Faber and after stints at other design practices across Birmingham, she returned to the fold last year! She lives in Worcester with her fiancé and miniature sausage dog, Dougie.

Georgina can’t go into any bar or restaurant without sussing out all the details! It’s an occupational hazard…When she isn’t designing interiors, you’ll probably find her in the middle of a DIY project or in her workshop creating something random out of concrete!

How would you describe yourself in three words?

Sarcastic, creative, and determined.

What's your greatest achievement?

Starting my small business during lockdown and continuing to grow it ever since!

What made you want to become an interior designer?

I’ve always been creative so I knew I would pursue something along those lines for a career. I was mid-teens when I became interested in Interior Design and I’ve never seriously considered anything else!

What's your favourite Faber project?

‍The Rosarium!

What's your feel-good song?

‍Anything by The Wombats…

If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

I’d love to go to Iceland to see the Northern Lights.

How would you describe your perfect weekend?

My perfect weekend would be spent with my family and miniature dachshund Dougie exploring Cornish beaches! It would definitely involve a cosy pub roast dinner, a few wines, and lots of laughing!

What are you most afraid of?

Bad health.

‍Pet hates?

People spelling my name wrong…It’s in my email!

What three items could you not live without?

Dougie, big jumpers, and my glasses (because I wouldn’t be able to see Dougie without them)!
