The Glass House, The Rosarium
The Challenge
Situated above the Olivier-nominated immersive show Alice’s Adventures Underground, The Rosarium draws deeply from the whimsical world of Lewis Carroll. Faber was commissioned to design the entire restaurant experience—at its heart, The Glasshouse, a striking space centred around an eight-metre-long communal table.
Our brief: to bring this fantastical concept to life by creating a show stopping feature—an expansive table set beneath the glasshouse canopy, anchored by three oversized roses.
The Solution
Crafted from a seamless solid surface, the grand communal table is surrounded by bespoke dining chairs in rich, variegated shades of red—evoking the feel of a blooming rose garden.
Above, three large roses double as sculptural table lamps, each positioned beneath softly glowing circular ceiling panels. The result is a surreal, dreamlike scene—echoing the whimsicality of Carroll’s world, while creating a theatrical dining centrepiece within The Glasshouse.
